Malaysian P M Abdullah squanders tax-payers money on UMNO trip to Kelantan and Terengganu

Is оиmu arse-about-face, head over heels, and rotten to the core?

P M Abdullah Ahmad Badawi arrived in Kota Baharu on the morning of Friday 13th June 2008 ostensibly to launch a plan to boost rice production in the country.

Abdullah, his wife Jeanne Abdullah and UMNO secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, flew in on a government executive jet, were greeted on arrival by Kelantan UMNO chief Annuar Musa and Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Mustapa Mohamed and party leaders.

Soon after arrival, Abdullah, who is also UMNO president, headed to a leading hotel here to chair the state UMNO liaison committee meeting, followed by lunch with the Kelantan UMNO leaders at the hotel.

He performed Friday prayers at the Muhammadi state mosque.

In the afternoon, Abdullah launched a conveniently concocted, contrived plan to boost rice production at Kampung Bendang Perangkap in Bunut Susu, Pasir Mas.

On Friday night Abdullah addressed a ‘leader-with-the-people’ gathering (whatever that is!) at the Kelantan Poverty Foundation in Padang Kala, about 20km from here, before leaving for Kuala Terengganu to squander even more tax-payers money.

What a waste of the peoples money, UMNO should pay for it, as it was to all intents and purposes, an UMNO-centric excursion!
