MALAYSIA'S BEERY BULLSHIT BAFFLES BRAINS

The Malaysian government has barred Muslims from a concert by US hip-hop stars the Black Eyed Peas next month because the event is organized by Irish beer giant Guinness, an official said on Thursday 27th August 2009.

Maybe they though that GUINNESS is a acronym for:

Guru Ugama Islam Negera Negara Europa Semua Setuju?

In English: [European Islamic teachers all support it]

Also they may have thought that the Irish green will be confusing as the colour favoured by Islam is green.

Ignorant, idiotic imbeciles!

NTV7 host ‘reassigned’ after Najib gets a D rating

Image from Merdeka Review

Najib, is currently far away in
Sharm El-Sheikh. Egypt, one wonders why he went early Tuesday?
Could he not wait to see BN / UMNO defeated in the Manek Urai by-election?

(The by-election results will be known soon, all things being equal, by 12:00 GMT (8pm in Malaysia), however the main stream media most likely will be slow in reporting the expected BN / UMNO defeat by about 2,000 votes)

See Malaysiakini for updates HERE

Extract from: Blog CK Chew

"All her guest did was to give premier Najib Abdul Razak a ‘C’ or ‘D’ rating for his first 100 days in office.

It was enough to see ntv7 talk-show host Florence Looi being issued a warning letter and an immediate transfer to the news desk of the private television station.

Looi, who hosts the popular ‘Point of View’ current affairs programme, was said to have ‘breached editorial policy’, according to ntv7 sources.

The two guests on the talk-show, aired on July 5, were author Syed Akhbar Ali and consulting editor Leslie Lau of news portal Malaysian Insider. It was the latter’s remarks that landed Looi in trouble.

The sources said she was verbally told that she should not have asked her guests to rate Najib’s performance. As Looi is the host-cum-producer of the programme, she was the only one who received the warning letter.

Looi, who is assistant assignment editor, has since been reassigned to cover news, ostensibly because of a shortage of human resources at the news desk."

Are bloggers on strike in Malaysia?

No way José!

The Malaysian main stream media have gone to town, gleefully reporting that there is a bloggers strike.

It is true as far as the word ‘strike’ is concerned, but the context should be:

Bloggers are ever ready and will always strike at the jugular of the corrupt, the self-enriching, the deceitful, the hypocrites and those who greedily abuse their power.

The bloggers will strike and counterstrike until there is change.

True democracy, human rights, and freedom must be restored, 50 years under UMNO / BN must end, it is time for change.

BLOGGERS, WILL CONTINUE THEIR STRIKE,

and everyone else must strike too, if they want a better future,

AGAINST GREED, DECEIT, BRIBERY & CORRUPTION, SELF ENRICHMENT, HYPOCRISY, ABUSE OF POWER AND LIES,

AND CONTINUE TO DEMAND:

GOOD GOVERNANCE

TRUE SEPARATION OF POWERS

FREEDOM OF SPEECH & ASSEMBLY

HUMAN RIGHTS

TRUE JUSTICE

EQUALITY FOR ALL

THE END OF RACISM

ECONOMIC REFORMS

TRANSPARENCY

Question Time UMNO Style

Q and A session, UMNO style, at a primary school in Malaysia

Abdullah B the UMNO bigwig, goes to a primary school to talk about corruption. After his talk, he offers to hold a question time.

One little boy puts up his hand and Abdullah asked him, “What is your name?”

”Liong”

”And what is your question, Liong?”

”I have 3 questions.

Firstly, why did Malaysia’s Prime Minister officiate at an opening ceremony for his relative’s ‘Nasi Kandar’ restaurant in Perth, Australia?

Secondly, why, when so many Malaysians Indians want Samy V to step down, he is still MIC leader?

& Thirdly, corruption is so obvious nowadays in Malaysia, whilst this was not the case before Mahathir stepped down? What is the new strategy, and why is there so much more bribery and corruption now-a-days?”

Just then, the bell rings for recess.

Abdullah B informs the pupils that they will continue the session after the recess.

When they resume Abdullah says, “OK where were we?”

”Oh, that’s right, question time. Who has a question?”

A different little boy raises his hand.

Abdullah points him out and asked him “What is your name?”

”Linkam”

’And what is your question Linkam?’

”I have 5 questions.

First, why did Malaysia’s Prime Minister officiate at an opening ceremony for his relative’s ‘Nasi Kandar’ restaurant in Perth, Australia?

Second, why when so many Malaysian Indians want Samy Vellu to step down, he is still MIC leader?

Third, corruption is so obvious nowadays in Malaysia, whilst this was not the case before Mahathir stepped down? What is the new strategy, and why is there so much more bribery and corruption now-a-days?

Fourth, why did the recess bell go 20 minutes early?

& Fifth, where is Liong?”

Speak out, protest against all injustice

About Martin Niemöller (1892-1984)

"Is Hitler a great man?" Niemöller’s frightened wife, Else, asked him. "He is a great coward," her husband replied.

Niemoeller warned her that Hitler would certainly hound and brutalize him, for Niemöller had that day contradicted the Führer at a public meeting.
That evening the secret police raided and searched the Niemöller home.
A few days later a bomb exploded their home, setting it on fire. Friends offered to smuggle him and his family to Sweden, a neutral country, but he declined.

Martin Niemöller was an early supporter of Adolf Hitler, by 1934 he opposed the Nazis, however his high connections to influential and wealthy businessmen saved him until 1937, after which he was Dachau concentration camps. imprisoned, at Sachsenhausen and he survived incarceration to becoming a leading voice of penance and reconciliation for the German people after World War 2.

His poem is well-known, and is frequently quoted; it is popular and effective because it clearly describes the dangers of political apathy.

Political apathy often begins with specific and targeted fears and hatred which can quickly escalate out of control.

Do not be apathetic, fearful, weak willed, but be strong, steadfast, brave and at the same time be pure hearted and humble.

Speak out, protest and fight peacefully against injustice, racism, economic inequalities, hatred, intolerance, suppression of human rights and every form of oppression.

Stand up and be counted, every individual can effectively contribute to a better world.

Martin Niemöller's Poem:

German Original

An English Translation

Als die Nazis die Kommunisten holten,
habe ich geschwiegen;
ich war ja kein Kommunist.

Als sie die Sozialdemokraten einsperrten,
habe ich geschwiegen;
ich war ja kein Sozialdemokrat.

Als sie die Gewerkschafter holten,
habe ich nicht protestiert;
ich war ja kein Gewerkschafter.

Als sie die Juden holten,
habe ich geschwiegen;
ich war ja kein Jude.

Als sie mich holten,
gab es keinen mehr, der protestieren konnte.

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not protest;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to protest or to speak out.

"Prost!"
