I certainly cannot.
Does he think all Malaysians are unthinking, uneducated, and / or brainless?
Firstly regarding Ms. Tan Hoon Cheng's arrest under the ISA
Sin Chew Daily News reporter Tan Hoon Cheng, who was arrested under the Internal Security Act 1960, maybe released as soon as today, Saturday 13th September 2008, the day after her arrest, so home affairs minister Hamid Albar was reported to have said.
He went on to explain that Tan was detained under Section 73(1) of the Act in order to ensure her safety as police intelligence indicated that there were threats to her life after she reported on Bukit Bendera division UMNO chairman (now former chairman) Ahmad Ismail’s racist remarks.
“We have no intention of holding a reporter as after all she was just taking notes of the comments made by a certain party that led to a public debate."
“She maybe released as soon as today after police have obtained all information needed,” he said, adding that the reporter’s detention was part of the police preventive action.
If that really was the case, why on earth was she arrested under the ISA?
She could have been provided with 24/7 police protection instead!
Have those who have threatened to kill her been neutralised, by being arrested, or otherwise?
Now what Hamid said regarding Teresa Kok.
When he was asked about the detention of MP and Selangor senior executive councillor Teresa Kok, under the ISA, Hamid said she was arrested due to her comments on mosques and the Azan (call to prayer, which is broadcast by loudspeakers from all mosques in Malaysia) recently, which had 'created a lot of problems and public disorder'.
He added that no more arrests under ISA are expected but it would depend on the situation of public order.
More bullshit, unbelievable utterances and fudging.
Let's see how these wicked, convoluted and devious 'sandiwara' (Malay dramas), and 'wayang kulit' (shadow plays) play out!
