Roadblocks set up Throughout the Klang Valley

Joint police and army exercises have already been reported throughout the Klang Valley, ahead of tomorrow’s Perhimpunan Rakyat (Peoples Assembly) inside the Kelana Jaya Stadium.

Petaling Jaya is abuzz with rumours of military movements but the mammoth rally to protest against last month’s sharp rise in fuel prices will, it has been stated, proceed as planned.

In a move not seen since the Bersih and Hindraf rallies, many roadblocks have been set up throughout the Klang Valley, ahead of a mass rally by the opposition parties tomorrow.

Seemingly, these roadblocks are set up to harass and intimidate the general population and thus deter them from attending the planned rally at the Kelana Jaya stadium on Sunday 6th July 2008, and they are reducing roads and highways to single lanes.

Massive traffic jams are reported all over Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya.
