By the people and for the people
Lithuania- Tautos jėga vienybėje! (Lithuanian).
The strength of the nation is unity!
Mek Azg, Mek Ashakouyt,
One Nation, One Culture
Yugoslavia- Bratstvo i jedinstvo
Brotherhood and unity
Indonesia- Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Old Javanese),
Unity in diversity
Virtue united is stronger
The majority of national mottoes, include the words, unity, strength,
virtue, this is understandable, as they are
Many also refer to God e.g.
Sadly, in reality, many nations which have such idealistic
mottoes are anything but unified, can be undemocratic,
and consequentlyare unstable.
The Royal Arms of England, Wales and
“Dieu et mon droit” (French),
“God and my right”,
whilst the motto is from the Order of the Garter,
“Honi soit qui mal y pense” (Old French):
"Shame upon him who thinks evil of it".
The motto of
“Ich Dien” (German)
“I serve”.
Scotland- "Nemo me impune lacessit" ((Latin),
No one provokes me with impunity
The United Kingdom mottoes listed above are meaningful
and apt.
Out of the small selection of mottoes mentioned
above, I like the Scottish Motto:
"Nemo me impune lacessit" (Latin),
“No one provokes me with impunity”
The kick-arse motto of
honest,
idealistic or religious.
THAT IS HOW ALL MALAYSIAN VOTERS
SHOULD VOTE ON SATURDAY,
8th MARCH 2008

RESOLUTELY, HONESTLY AND
WITH CONVICTION.
