150,000 Protestors Attended Candlelight Vigil in Hong Kong

Tiananmen Massacre marked by massive protest and candlelight vigil in Hong Kong

There were no protests in Malaysia, as groups of more than four (4) people are prohibited from gathering together without a permit from the police!

Article 10 of Malaysia's constitution guarantees freedom of assembly, however the Police Act of 1967 severely restricts its exercise in practice.

No more than four persons may assemble in public without a police license.

Police are empowered to break up unlicensed demonstrations, arrest participants, and use force if orders to disperse are ignored.

So folks, in Malaysia there is less freedom and less respect for human rights than in many other countries and territories including Hong Kong, China.

Surely it is time this changed?

Najib Visits PRC on 20th Anniversary of Bloody Crackdown in Tiananmen Square, Biejing

Some victims of the bloody crackdown in Tiananmen Square on 4th June 1989
>

Police in Beijing, People Republic of China (Communist China) were out in force on Thursday 4thJune 2009 to stop any commemoration of the ruthless bloody crackdown on pro-democracy protesters around Tiananmen Square 20 years ago on this day, one day after Washington demanded Beijing account for those killed, whose names are still unknown.

The estimates of how many students and others were killed by the Chinese authorities, vary from many hundreds to thousands! Others have just disappeared!

In Hong Kong however there were commemorations demonstrations and a massive candlelight vigil.

Hong Kong is obviously far more democratic than other parts of P R of China and Malaysia.

The most famous image of the dreadful day 20 years ago

Malaysia PM Najib is, at this most inappropriate time, making an official visit to PRC, his wife and a bunch of others [Transport Minister Ong Tee Keat, Higher Education Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Foreign Minister Anifah Aman, International Trade and Industry Minister Mustapa Mohamed and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Koh Tsu Koon as well as many Malaysian business leaders and entrepreneurs], tagging along with him.

By making this visit it seems they are helping Communist China to defect attention for the Tienanmen anniversary.

This is a shameful time for Najib to visit Communist China, it is as though Najib is supporting the suppression of the commemorations of the merciless crackdown in Tiananmen Square Beijing.

Meanwhile in Taiwan twenty Taiwanese protesters held a candlelight vigil in the capital Taipeh on Wednesday 3rd June 2009 to mark the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen crackdown.

Will Najib now add Dr. to his already long name?

The east is red, the sun is rising
China has brought forth a Mao Zedong.
He works for the people's welfare.
Hurrah, He is the people's great savior.
Chairman Mao loves the people,
He is our guide,
To build a new China,
Hurrah, he leads us forward!
The Communist Party is like the sun,
Wherever it shines, it is bright.
Wherever there is a Communist Party,
Hurrah, there the people are liberated!

While we watch the Beijing 2008 Olympics, animals are being skinned alive for their fur in China

CRUELTY TO ANIMALS IN CHINA 2008

WARNING THE VIDEO BELOW WILL UPSET MANY PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY ANIMAL LOVERS!

Extract from the PETA web site:

“When undercover investigators made their way onto Chinese fur farms recently, they found that many animals are still alive and struggling desperately when workers flip them onto their backs or hang them up by their legs or tails to skin them.

When workers on these farms begin to cut the skin and fur from an animal's leg, the free limbs kick and writhe. Workers stomp on the necks and heads of animals who struggle too hard to allow a clean cut.

When the fur is finally peeled off over the animals' heads, their naked, bloody bodies are thrown onto a pile of those who have gone before them.

Some are still alive, breathing in ragged gasps and blinking slowly. Some of the animals' hearts are still beating five to 10 minutes after they are skinned.

One investigator recorded a skinned raccoon dog on the heap of carcasses who had enough strength to lift his bloodied head and stare into the camera.”

Pledge to go fur-free at PETA.org.

Death, but Hope in China. Death, but only Dismay and Desperation in Burma

THE DEAD ARE DEEPLY MOURNED
MAY THOSE LEFT BEHIND FIND COMFORT AND A SYMPATHETIC SHOULDER TO CRY ON

Réquiem ætérnam dona eis,
et lux perpétua lúceat eis.
Requiéscant in pace.

Eternal rest grant unto them,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.

THE CHINA EARTHQUAKE

HOPE

Rescue workers in China are struggling to reach nearly 60,000 people who are reported as missing near to the epicentre of the Sichuan earthquake, prompting fears that the death toll will continue to soar way past the present total which is close to 15,000.

The efficiency of the rescue work, the openness and the grateful acceptance of international aid, by the Chinese government, will, it is hoped, help to speed up the recovery of trapped victims, as well reduce the risk of the outbreak of epidemics of disease and also the risk of exposure to the elements, hunger or even starvation.

A video of the rescue work going on after the devastating earthquake in China is to be found HERE

THE BURMA CYCLONE

DISMAY AND DESPERATION

Nearly two weeks after cyclone Nargis hit the shores of the Irrawaddy Delta, the inflow of overseas aid is still being restricted and expert foreign rescue workers are still prevented from entering to assist in the rescue and other humanitarian work.

And now, threatening to make matters even worse, a second cyclone is bearing down on Burma, whilst the country is still in the midst of a gargantuan humanitarian crisis, which was initially caused by devastation wrought by cyclone Nargis, and which is being exacerbated by the evil Generals who head the inhuman tyrannical murderous military junta which enslaves and tortures the noble Burmese people.

Up to now over 128,000 lives have been lost, according to the latest Red Cross estimations (and the number is certain to rise when diseases and starvation take their toll), and it is estimated by a UK aid organisation, that between 1.6 to 2.5 million souls are now in dire need of help such as shelter, clothing, food and clean water, as well as other essential emergency aid.

To view a video, please go HERE

The international community needs to exert maximum pressure on the Junta, and if they remain intransigent, then whatever has to be done, must be done to ensure that all the required help, both in the form of manpower and materials, is supplied to help the Burmese people, with or without the consent of the wicked men who control Burma.

When the emergency is over, the Generals should be charged and brought to an international court to be tried for their crimes against humanity, then if found to be guilty, they should be severely punished.

Or even better, their own people should do unto them as they have done to their people!
