Death-by-Bus Continues in Malaysia!

Die like a frog (mati katak) in Malaysia, no one cares less

Some of the reasons are:-

  • No enforcement on roads & highways.
  • Corruption, Corruption, Corruption!
  • Lackadaisical authorities
  • Incompetence, stupidity
  • Cover-ups
  • Political influence and patronage
  • Poor road design and awful road-sign placement and multiple designs
  • Third world culture and mentality
  • Complaisance

Seven people, six of whom were teenagers, were killed and 39 others injured in a bus accident at Genting Sempah, outside of Kuala Lumpur.

The crash, happened at 7.50pm last night 29th October 2010), said Selangor traffic chief Supt Che Hussein Omar.

Seventeen were seriously injured while the remaining 22 suffered minor injuries,” he said. “Two people were thrown out from the bus.”

He added police were investigating the driver for reckless driving.

The co-driver said he was asleep when the crash happened.

“When I got up, the bus was rolling,” he added.

UPDATE

DRIVER HAD NO DRIVING LICENCE

BUS WAS IN POOR CONDITION (NOT ROADWORTHY??)

The driver who was driving the bus, that hit the roadside safety barrier and overturned several times at kilometre 38 of the Genting Sempah road on Friday, 29th October 2011, night, killing seven and injuring 39 others, did not have a driving licence.

In Baling, where the bus trip originated, families of the seven victims who were killed claimed that the bus was not the one promised by the bus company and said it was was not in good condition.

This is quite typical of the every day situation in today's Malaysia.

  • Corruption and bribery rule.
  • Money is seemingly king!
  • The dire consequences of actions are disregarded.
  • Safety is disregarded
  • Lives are regarded as cheap and are dispensable!

When well the people wake up and demand change?

May the seven innocent victims of this bus crash rest in peace.

And the extravagant pie-in-the-sky tourism minister wants to encourage tourists to hire self-drive cars!

How idiotic, even the locals get lost everyday!!!!!!

New Slogan for Ministry of Tourism:

Malaysia Truly a Great Place to Die in a Road Accident

Spend two weeks in Malaysia, hire a car.

You may either die, or perhaps you will spend your whole holiday trying to get out of Kuala Lumpur.................. enjoy going round in every decreasing circles, but be careful you may end up in your own anus!!!!
