Not only that, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei preached hatred too in his 100 minute plus sermon at Tehran 's University on 19th June 2009.
He spoke to a massive congregation, which in true rent-a crowd 'democratic style' had been brought in from all over Iran. They appeared to cheer on cue and acted in unison like robots.
Democracy, as it should be, does not exist in Iran, what does seem to exist is a hard-line government which is using Islam as to tool to retain support, a classic case of religion being used as a means to subdue and control the people.
Khamenei may be kicked out of his job as the Supreme Leader of Iran quite soon, so he seems to be betting on Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to fight for his survival.
