FOR SALE: 1Malaysia

Najib

SPECTATORS WERE EVIDENTLY PAID TO ATTEND THE LONG DELAYED LAUNCHING OF AN ALREADY SINKING SHIP NAMED 1MALAYSIA.

Democracy my arse!

In order to ensure that Najib had a big attendance for his 1Malaysia launching road show in Ipoh, it appears that UMNO employed the often used "Rent-a-crowd' tactic, and provided buses to bus-in spectators who were given a monitory reward (bribe) to attend the road show and listen to Najib prattle and pontificate.

Najib Razak at long last launched his highly-publicised and still largely mysterious and undefined “1 Malaysia” concept before a crowd of at least 30,000 at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh on 18 October 2009.

However, according to some spectators, they had been bused-1n after collecting RM30 coupons, which they exchanged for cash upon arrival at the venue.

If this is not bribery and corruption I do not know what it is!

MALAYSIA'S CARTOONS OF TRUTH - an example of the maxim " The Truth Hurts"?

Cartoon source Asia Observer HERE

The Ghost of Altantuya

A Cartoon from Korea Times

Now, one example of how the Malaysian government is trying to stop a political cartoonist from telling his story:

From The Star Online:
Saturday 29th August 2009

"408 copies of cartoon magazine seized

KUALA LUMPUR:

The Home Ministry has seized 408 copies of a cartoon magazine and 18 printing plates from a company here for illegal publishing.

The seizure of the Bahasa Malaysia Gedung Kartun at Sepakat Efektif Sdn Bhd in Brickfields on Monday followed a tip-off, said the ministry in a statement. The printer, K. Vin Publisher, was charged with operating without a permit." — Bernama

Press Statement from Cartoonist Zunar

With respect to the Home Ministry's consfiscation of materials from his newly set up cartoon magazine publishing company, Sepakat Efektif Sdn Bhd's, premises with its inaugural issue of "Gedung Kartun".

Zunar: I strongly denies Home Ministry’s allegations

1. Referring to the news article in Malaysiakini dated 29th August 2009 which quotes the Home Minstry’s Corporate Communication Unit’s Head, Jamilah Taib that Sepakat Efektif Sdn Bhd, a company that I own will be charged for publishing material without a publishing license.

According to Jamilah, Sepakat Efektif will be charged under Section 5(2) (b) of the Printing Presses and Publication Act 1984 for distribution unlicensed publications. If convicted, the penalties are not more than 3 years prison or a fine not exceeding RM20,000.00 or both. The statement by Jamilah refers to the publication of a Cartoon magazine titled ‘Gedung Kartun’.

2. For the record, before the publication of the magazine, I made an application to the Home Ministry for the Publication Permit and all requirements and conditions to obtain the permit had been fulfilled.

On the 3rd of August our Company had contacted Officers from the Home Ministry and we were informed that the permit had been approved and the hard copy of the Publication Permit would be ready for collection on the 14th of August 2009.

On the said date we went to collect the Publication Permit at the Home Ministry but were informed that the Permit was not ready.
I then requested for the Permit number so that we could begin with production work on the understanding that when the magazine would be printed and distributed in 10 days' time, the Permit would be ready.

We were given the Permit Number PP8541/08/2010(0282145) ISSN 1688-5398 by the officers on that day. I refute any allegations that Gedung Kartun is published with a false permit.
The Home Ministry has made a serious accusation that implies that I made up the Permit Number PP8541/08/2010(0282145) ISSN 1688-5398.

3. I am bemused as to why the Publication Permit for Gedung Kartun is yet to be issued and instead a raid was conducted and they now want to charge me in court. Isn’t it better for them to issue the approved permit as they had informed me and solve all matters?

4. As the approved Publication Permit can only be signed off by the Home Minister, I shall request in writing to meet with the Home Minister Dato’ Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein to get an explanation on whether he did or not approve the permit number PP8541/08/2010(0282145) ISSN 1688-5398 on or before the 14th of August 2009 for Gedung Kartun magazine, as informed by Officers of the Home Ministry.

5. I will also like to question the increasing difficulty in obtaining Publication Permits. What then is meant by the Prime Minister that the media will be freer under his Administration? Is it that under 1Malaysia, works of art and the voices of cartoonists will be under a tighter grip?

6. If drawing cartoons results with 3 years imprisonment, imagine the state of media freedom and freedom of expression in Malaysia.

7. I also urge for the draconian Printing Presses and Publication Act 1984 to be abolished.

Defend the rights of Cartoonists

A cartoon from Gedung Kartun

Press Statement -Bahasa Malaysia version:

Zunar: Saya menafikan sekeras-kerasnya tuduhan KDN

7. Saya juga mendesak supaya akta lapuk, Akta Mesin Cetak 1948 dihapuskan.

NAJIB, UMNO & MONEY!

Is he having a laugh?

Najib vows to rid UMNO of money politics!

Read the shit by clicking HERE

Is this the UMNO motto?

Nihil tam munitum quod non expugnari pecunia possit

[No fort is so strong that it cannot be taken with money]

Dream on, UMNO will never change for the better, they have proven this time and time again.

Money, money politics, sleaze and UMNO are intertwined, inseparable and deeply embedded in its devious culture and make-up.

This is just more verbal diarrhoea, bullshit and cloud cuckoo land drivel!

Proposed amendments to the UMNO constitution 'will once and for all address the problem of money politics and other shady tactics used during party elections', Najib Razak reportedly said, and went on to say that a review of the party’s constitution, would be carried out during the UMNO special general assembly in October 2009, which would allow greater participation of grass roots members in the election of party leaders.

This is crucial in making UMNO more democratic and clean. Of utmost importance is not to give an opportunity for money politics to flourish and become part of UMNO’s culture,” Najib was reported as saying.

This is simply just meaningless flannel.

Say NO to bullSHIT!

Say NO to mat rempits!

M R U

As Najib was saying this, a throng of assorted large and small 'mat rempit' of UMNO Youth carrying large UMNO flags, with police cars and police motor cycle outriders escorting and taking care of them, were seen speeding around in the Senawang area of Seremban, causing inconvenience and annoying motorists and residents in that area.

UMNO flags were also illegally flying from road signs and lamp posts too, later they were removed, this was a wise move, as otherwise they may have been used a rags by members of the public!

Why were the police wasting their time doing this unnecessary work at tax-payers expense?

Even if the Negeri Sembilan MB and Rembau MP KJ were also riding motor bikes in the mat rempit frenzy, they were certainly not on state or federal government business, just taking part in a possibly illegal motorised assembly, which was just an UMNO party political shinanigan!!

Censorship of the Internet, Yes? No? Maybe?

Yes, but no, but yes!

P M Najib says No”, Rais says “Yes, but only for pornography”

Read the crap, click HERE

The big question is: 'Can they be believed?'

Of course the answer is NO!

These UNMO / BN fellas are politicians of the basic kind; they more often than not speak bullshit, untruths, half truths, emit hectolitres of verbal diarrhoea and excel in talking absolute cock, such are the tools of their trade.

I personally would not trust any of them as far as my rubber-gloved hands could throw them.

Let us wait and see, they have blocked web sites before, but just for a while because there is always a way to overcome selective blocking and censorship of the Internet.

Books of course are easier to control, and book banning is alive and well in Malaysia, under the the Home Ministry's ever virtuous 'Publication Control Division and Al-Quran Text Division' which has banned 397 books in the last nine years. Of these, 190 books contained materials that 'could jeopardise public order', (what ever that is supposed to mean?) whilst the other 207 book titles contained 'immoral content', (what ever that is supposed to mean?)

CENSORSHIP & INTERNET FILTERING ON THE CARDS IN MALAYSIA

http://www.larrywestproductions.com

Many thanks.

P. M. Najib's shaky UMNO / BN coalition government is considering the establishment of an Internet filter, similar to China's abandoned 'Green Dam' project, a source familiar with the process reportedly told Reuters New Agency.

Read the story be clicking HERE

Of course this filtering will be in guise of protecting children by filtering out pornography, and denaying access to other sites deemed unpalatable, and perhaps suppressing religious and racial issues.

But it will really be solely to defend the ever weakening UMNO / BN regime from the bloggers' criticism and to prevent the independent media telling the truth.

Censorship has been alive and well in Malaysia, as far as the printed media goes, even National Geographic Magazine is censored by brainless idiots with black marker pens, who cover up the hint of a bare breast, or deface other innocent photos of semi naked people.

At the rate things are moving, Malaysia will degenerate into a fearfully fanciful fully fucked up nation like North Korea, present day Iran, or Burma, to name but three.

In a word, it is PATHETIC.

So there is now yet another thing to march for!!

RELENTLESS RELA READY, ROBBERS RELAX!

RELA, a foreigner (a Nepalese?) & the big stick>

RELA's uniformed volunteers, (they have also have been referred to by some as thugs, bounty hunters goons and gangsters) have, as far as I know, legal immunity and are allowed to arrest individuals as well as enter and search any premises without a warrant.

These are sweeping powers, it seems that they are more 'powerful' than the police.

I'm an Indonesian, can't you see my passport

Malaysia's PM Najib plans to deploy personnel from the notorious peoples volunteer task force (RELA) to help enforce a crackdown on crime triggered criticism on from human rights campaigners. RELA, is a 553,000-strong citizen corps which has been accused many times of serious human rights abuses.

This force was established in 1972 under the home affairs ministry to help maintain public order.

Recently they were used to apprehend illegal immigrants, and were paid a bounty of RM 80 per head! This lead to frequent abuse of power, and many people including an American citizen on a legal visit to Malaysia, were wrongly detained. There were also reports of those rounded up by RELA being made to squat for hours in the heat of the equatorial sun and being mistreated in other ways too!

RELA is an acronym for People's Volunteer Corps in the national language of Malaysia.

On 30th July 2009, it was reported that the home ministry had enlisted members from the Civil Defence Department and RELA.

An overweight RELA goon and some 'detained' ladies

However some were reported to have been rejected as they were too fat! Click HERE

The cops were reported to have rejected 358 of the 500 personnel specially selected 'crème de' le' crème ' by RELA to assist in crime prevention because these, the finest RELA has to offer, were found to be overweight and unfit to undergo police voluntary reserve training.

RELA director-general reportedly stated that …...........only 142 of the 500 chosen to undergo the two-week training stint were accepted while the rest were rejected because of their poor fitness level.

The 500 RELA members were screened based on strict criteria similar to those used for recruiting policemen.

Besides those who were overweight, the others were rejected because of poor overall presentation and grooming.

Or in other words many RELA members are fat, slovenly, unfit and scruffy!

Click HERE & HERE to read some news reports

What difference will 142 RELA goons with two weeks of training do the help the escalating crime rate in Malaysia, what a pathetic political joke by Najib!

NTV7 host ‘reassigned’ after Najib gets a D rating

Image from Merdeka Review

Najib, is currently far away in
Sharm El-Sheikh. Egypt, one wonders why he went early Tuesday?
Could he not wait to see BN / UMNO defeated in the Manek Urai by-election?

(The by-election results will be known soon, all things being equal, by 12:00 GMT (8pm in Malaysia), however the main stream media most likely will be slow in reporting the expected BN / UMNO defeat by about 2,000 votes)

See Malaysiakini for updates HERE

Extract from: Blog CK Chew

"All her guest did was to give premier Najib Abdul Razak a ‘C’ or ‘D’ rating for his first 100 days in office.

It was enough to see ntv7 talk-show host Florence Looi being issued a warning letter and an immediate transfer to the news desk of the private television station.

Looi, who hosts the popular ‘Point of View’ current affairs programme, was said to have ‘breached editorial policy’, according to ntv7 sources.

The two guests on the talk-show, aired on July 5, were author Syed Akhbar Ali and consulting editor Leslie Lau of news portal Malaysian Insider. It was the latter’s remarks that landed Looi in trouble.

The sources said she was verbally told that she should not have asked her guests to rate Najib’s performance. As Looi is the host-cum-producer of the programme, she was the only one who received the warning letter.

Looi, who is assistant assignment editor, has since been reassigned to cover news, ostensibly because of a shortage of human resources at the news desk."

Three Months of Najib!

The PM & DPM ++ and rent-a-crowd, doing the 1Malaysia Shuffle!

After three months of Najib as PM, what has substantively changed for the better in Malaysia?

The short answer is absolutely nothing.

There have been a heaps of verbal diarrhoea, bags full of hot air, lots of funny hats and ridiculous costumes worn, even dodgy dance routines, but really and truly there seems to have been no substantive progress towards ending overt racism, ensuring equality for all citizens, respecting freedom of speech, freedom of information, freedom of expression and human rights.

Malaysia has been afflicted by many multifarious mishaps over the last three months, buildings and roads have collapsed, controversies have been seen to increase, diseases such as malaria, leptospirosis and meningitis have blossomed, the Internal Security Act 1960, Emergency Ordinance (Public Order and Crime Prevention) 1969, Sedition Act 1948, Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984 and many other archaic and draconian laws are still on the statute book, the Police Act also remains unchanged.

Politics seems to be getting dirtier than usual; whilst UMNO / BN show no signs of reinventing themselves for the better.
However, with the main stream media seemingly more under the thumb than ever nowadays, things may actually be even worse than they are reported, who knows.

Now in 2009, almost at the end of the first decade of the 21st Century, people can still be locked up without any judicial process, effectively guilty without trial.
How utterly shameful in what is touted as being a democratic country!

Harry Lee has come and gone after his extra warm welcome (excepting Dr. M), extensive exploration of the just the peninsular part of Malaysia, and his resulting insolent critique.

The superstitious may be forgiven for even believing there is a national curse which seems to have started when Najib became PM on 3rd April 2009.

Now in the second half of 2009, will Malaysia progress, further decline or simply stagnate under the stewardship of Najib?

Let's wait and see!!

The people of Malaysia are a patient lot, but even patience has a limit!

UMNO = MUON?

MUON

Perhaps UMNO is a anagram of MUON?

A MUON is an unstable lepton common in cosmic radiation.

Well UMNO is certainly unstable and very common, perhaps not cosmic, but most certainly comic, and definitely as dangerous as radiation.

To break it down further let's look at the lepton.

A lepton is any member of a class of subatomic particles that only respond only to electromagnetic force, weak forces and gravitational force and are not affected by strong force.

Leptons are said to be elementary particles; that is, they do not appear to be made up of smaller units of matter.

Leptons can either carry one unit of electric charge or be neutral.

The charged leptons are the electrons, muons and taus.

Each of these types has a negative charge and a distinct mass.

So that brings things together, a Muon is a negatively charged lepton, an dense elementary particle not made up of smaller units, responsive to gravitational and weak forces, unaffected by strong forces.

UNMO can certainly be charged as being negative, base, and a stubborn, dense, minute mass which seems to be unmoved by strong opposition, but is responsive to weaknesses and will undoubtedly suffer from the forces of gravity and fall in due course.

Crescit amor nummi, quantum ipsa pecunia crevit

The love of wealth grows as the wealth itself grew

BA JIN

The Main Asteroid Belt

shown in white

Perhaps NAJIB is an anagram for BAJIN?

Bajin is a main belt asteroid discovered on 25th November 1997.

Well Najib has a main belt, which can be observed to be getting bigger by the day; and he like an asteroid, is not living in the real world.

To conclude:

UMNO is an unstable and common insignificant particle, which only responds to electromagnet force, weak forces and gravity!

Whilst NAJIB is, it seems, condemned to outer space from where oblivion is inevitable.
