Ayo Gurkhali!

Joanna Lumley and Gurkha Veterans

I am delighted to have just heard that the Gurkha soldiers who served a minimum of four years in the British Armed Forces before 1997 now have the right to enter and stay in the United Kingdom.

The news report from the BBC is HERE

To Joanna Lumley, a great big thank you is due; she has selflessly striven to ensure that this just decision has now been made.

Ayo Gurkhali!” (The Gurkha Are Coming) .
That is the traditional war cry of the Gurkha soldiers.

Justice and honour have prevailed.

I must say I am delighted and feel certain that the Gurkha ex soldiers and their families will be a great asset to the Untied Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Kukri, Karda & Chakmak
May God Bless the Gurkha.

Salvete

Hail, welcome
